    The Mildred’s Temple Kitchen is a trendy restaurant located in the Liberty Village. The interior has a minimalistic feel to it with a cold feel to it during the day but at night the lightning turns the space into a cozy, comfortable, romantic dining experience. It’s amazing how lightning can transform the look and feel of a place, the experience is completely different after sun down. The menu is very fancy, the dishes sound amazing but the actual food is so so. It doesn’t own up to the eloquent descriptions on the menu page, it needs some refinement. I found it overpriced for what you are getting and the portions are small.

    Club Cayo Coco is a small trendy Cuban restaurant in the entertainment district. It is full of character and ambiance. It’s nice for a romantic dinner for two and it could be a blast for a party of 10 as you can order different tapas and share around the table. The food is very good but portions are small, a little overpriced for what you get but delicious. Great selection of dishes! Also very good wine and real, strong martinis – half price before 8:00pm :) The second floor of the restaurant is a lounge area with a small dance floor, comfortable, loungy seating – a great place to pre-drink at before you hit a big party! :)

    Foggy Dew is a casual pub on King West with affordable food and friendly staff. The pub has a large patio facing King Street but it packs up fairly quickly so make sure you hit the pub right after work if you want a spot in the sun and enjoy eating a delicious platter of nachos and drink a cold beer with friends. The atmosphere is laid back and service is quick.

    Fynn’s of Temple Bar is an Irish pub on King West that’s always happening!! It usually has a full crowd after work hours, great place to get together for a pint or two with friends, the pub hosts live dj sets during the week and they always have drink special between certain hours. It’s very welcoming, fun, laid back. So next time you’re in the area looking for a place to chill out Fynn’s is your place. They also have a small, intimate patio, it fills up fast especially when the weather is nice so leave work early if you can! :)
