Event Description

Jason Ajemian's Who Cares How Long You Sink? w/ Castlemusic + Colin Fisher

JASON AJEMIAN’S WHO CARES HOW LONG YOU SINK (www.sundmagi.com/bands/SINKS/index.html)
NYC bass player Jason Ajemian’s ensemble plays slow moving orchestral avant-folk compositions. Their rhythms based on the players breathing patterns as they play their instruments. Beautiful draw out pieces, vocal experimentation growing out of symphonic drones. His ensemble for this performance will include Michelangelo Iaffaldano on curio, Colin Fisher on guitar, Steve Ward and Heather Seeger on trombone, Nicole Rampersaud on trumpet, Cory Latkovitch on cello, Jason Freeman-Fox on fiddle, Jonathan Ajemian and Andy Yue on Korg MS20, Germaine Liu on percussion, Tomas Bouda on bass, Brodie West on alto sax and Kyle Brenders on woodwinds. For fans of Star Like Fleas, early Devandra Banhart, acoustic drone, and the ever changing slow moving sky.

CASTLEMUSIC (http://www.myspace.com/jennifercastlemusic)
Toronto’s own psych-folk singer/songwriter, tales the road less traveled, beautiful warm vocals like a blanket flow over gentle erie guitar work. Creeping piano notes ripple like water droplets under Jennifer Castle’s lyrics, like little dreams being sent off into the night. Music to listen to by the campfire, quiet hymns full of complex emotion. Come and get the vibe at the Tranzac!

COLINBABUFISHER (http://www.myspace.com/colinfisher)
Toronto experimental guitar guru Colin Fisher plays it solo on the guitar. As a member of more bands than Canada has provinces, Fisher has ripped it with the best. He’s an improviser, a rocker, a skater and his music is something in-between. Don’t miss one of the most interesting & innovative musicians in Toronto as he creates a new world for you!
