Event Description


Sound Battle Royale: Round 2

From June to October, Toronto will host a four part battle series with some of Toronto’s most talented producers.
For all up and coming MC’s, Singers and fellow producers this is a do not miss, come on out and see who’s next and do some networking.

SBR is not your regular producer battle, at SBR we avoid the push play aspect of the battle everything is LIVE and uncut in front of the audience.

There are three challenges in each round of SBR.

First Challenge: Flip and Sample
Producers have to flip a sample and use it to create a new beat their beat will go up against 7 other producers.
Four Producers Eliminated

Second Challenge: Mass Appeal
Time Allotted: 5 minutes
Producers arrange beats live and have to include the crowd in the process. The producer who moves the crowd most creatively, wins.
Two Producers Eliminated

Final Challenge: Remix
Time Allotted: 15 minutes
This is the ultimate test of skills and style. Two producers will be given an accapella from a well known song and 15 minutes to create their own beat to that song.
Winner announced

8 producers x 4 shows = A helluva lot of talent
Up for grabs: $1500 in cash and prizes
