Event Description
PWYC is back after a few weeks off. Maybe some of you don’t have school now and come join us on a more frequent basis?
Night starts gentler with M. E. Walsh and his band. You might know Michael Walsh from his band Slides? This is his new side project. The songs are folkish-pop. Could be performed as a singer/songwriter but as a live act he has a full band backing him up. Will be a nice way to start your night.
Then it is the Jimmy Stone Radio Show. This band comes by the way of Barrie. Dirty grunged out rock is what you are in store for. At times I hear a bit of Queens of the Stone Age especially in terms of how the guitar drives throughout. The type of music that makes you have a few more beers than you thought you would.
Life Blown Open close out the night. Life Blown Open are a technically perfect indie-rock band with some serious post-rock influence. Life Blown Open write songs that are easy to get lost to. Especially if you just focus in on the guitar. The band recently relocated to Toronto from Sudbury so they could use your support.
