Event Description

For all that TWM has done over the years, one thing we have never done is host a local band’s vinyl launch. That streaks ends on July 3rd. When Hot Kid release a new 10 inch vinyl upon the world!

HotKid (http://www.myspace.com/ilovehotkid)

HotKid has recently revamped the lineup going to Robbie Butcher (Tin Bangs, Make Your Exit) and still continuing on with the guitar slaying awesomeness of Shiloh on guitars and lead vocals.

HotKid is one of my favourite live bands and that has only improved with the addition of Robbie on the skins. Dirty garage rock driven by intense percussion and stellar vocals. The last full length they put out on vinyl is a wicked listen. I’m sure this will be no different. For this festive occasion the band has pulled out the big guns for support.

Starting with Indian Handcrafts (no myspace yet):

Indian Handcrafts are Daniel & Brandyn from Fox Jaws. That’s where the Fox Jaws talk ends. This is a loud, noisy, energy packed rock show. Sure its a two piece, but this is not your usual two piece setup. Bring some ear plugs and come see for yourself.

In between a semi rare appearance from Bass Lions (http://www.myspace.com/basslions):

Bass Lions aren’t playing every other week, they might not even play for several months. Yet whenever you get a chance to hear them live you realize that they’ve been working, just on their music rather than playing as many shows as possible.

They play beautiful expansive airy indie-pop. With stellar songwriting, and their new songs have a maturity that comes along from a band who isn’t afraid to take time off if certain members want to travel or explore different things. Knowing that when the band gets back together that experience will only take them to the next level.

In short a disgustingly good bill. Poster coming soon!
