Event Description

TWM/Pitter Patter: Two Zebras, Cheap Speakers, Intensive Care, Cap Guns

It is Pitter Patter time again and this year Rancho Relaxo and TWM are happy to be full four day participants in the festival.

Pitter Patter Festival is the brain child of Keith Hamilton who runs the tried and proven Pitter Patter series over at the Boat. Once a year, the series expands beyond the Boat and outside of Toronto to several other cities for a four day festival. The festival is free to apply to, everyone who works it is volunteers and the cover is always Pay What You Can. All in all it makes it about the most fan/band friendly festival going. And we over at TWM have some great bands in store for you.

Starting with:

CAP GUNS

Cap Guns are still a very new band, but one who has seen kind responses and solid success in a short period of time. Cap Guns play earnest, well thought out country music. They aren’t an indie rock band with country influences, they are a country band who sometimes shows other influences. That’s a pleasant change.

Followed by,

INTENSIVE CARE:

Intensive Care are higher level pop out of Montreal who I’m stoked to be able to put on a TWM show. It seems every once and a while Montreal has a tremendous band pop up and get noticed. Smart money says that could be Intensive Care. Here’s a great press quote:

""This is progressive music of the highest order. Call it prog-pop, call it symphonic rock, call it banana-coated-ostrich-steak for all I care, I just call it wonderful" – SEA OF TRANQUILITY "

Then THE CHEAP SPEAKERS:

Nothing says TWM and Rancho like the Cheap Speakers. But the venue they’ve also played several times is the Boat under Keith’s Pitter Patter series. So having the Cheap Speakers play Rancho for the Pitter Patter Festival is a match that had to happen.

Fresh off their ram packed EP release party at the El Mocambo. The Cheap Speakers are feeling frisky, and looking forward to bringing their debut EP out around the province and such in the months to come. Before that, they return to their home to kick some ass at midnight.

Closing are TWO ZEBRAS:

Two Zebras are enjoying a temporary residency in Toronto via Glasgow. They’ve been playing around time spreading their incredibly tight soaring indie rock to anyone with ears willing to give them a chance.

Their myspace kicks some serious ass. Super catchy guitar driven hook loaded indie rock. Great way to close out the night!

PWYC (suggested 5 bucks!).
