Event Description

KEN mode 2/3 North American Tour Toronto

KEN mode embarks on its first US tour in 6 years, kick starting a new era, partnering with Profound Lore records.

We’ll be debuting a lot of material from our fourth full length album, aptly titled ‘Venerable’, which will be recorded late August in Salem, MA with Kurt Ballou (Converge, Cave In, everyone) at the helm. Artwork is being handled by Julie Anne Mann (http://www.julieannemann.com/) with layouts by Josh Graham of Neurosis fame (http://www.suspendedinlight.com/). It should see the light of day earlier in 2011.

For a lot of Americans, this will be the first time shy of mailorder that they’ve even been exposed to our latest album ‘Mennonite’, since we self released it in 2008. You can hear some samples at http://www.myspace.com/kenmode and also download a free mp3 package for your digital media devices, if so desired.

Additionally, we’re hooking up on some stints with some kickass bands. Check them out:

Here’s what a few people have said about previous records:

“…Not only do they sound like a raging beast wired on the up-tempo bits ‘n’ pieces of Unsane’s discography, but in the case of much of the new material, KEN mode evoke the brutality of Unsane’s Total Destruction and Unsane album covers brought to musical life.” – Decibel Magazine

“Canada’s best kept secret established a reputation for perfection jagged, chest-tightening riffs that not only demanded your attention but commanded it as well. " – Terrorizer Magazine

KEN Mode have bettered their debut and staked a claim as the new noise others will invariably be influenced by.” – Exclaim! Magazine
