Event Description

The Joy Formidable (UK), The Dig (NYC), Ten Kens, and Paint @ The Horseshoe

102.1 The Edge Dave Bookman’s Nu Music Nite Presents:

11:00 THE JOY FORMIDABLE (http://www.myspace.com/thejoyformidable): Having sold out multiple UK tours throughout 2009, sharing the stage internationally with Editors, The Temper Trap, and Passion Pit, The Joy Formidable are high on the list of bands to break through amongst those in the know in the first year of this new decade.

10:00 THE DIG (http://www.thedigmusic.com): “This is the catchiest, most intriguing power pop band to emerge out of the no-name pile in some time. Brooklyn’s The Dig has one self-released EP and a growing live following. The Dig is fairly crackling with potential.” – Pop Matters

9:00 TEN KENS (http://www.tenkens.com): gearing up to release their second album on FatCat, the aptly titled ‘For Posterity’, which sees them looking forward to the future with a renewed sense of vigour and artistic purpose.

12:00 PAINT (http://www.thepaintsite.com): Freshly crowned as fan favourite on 102.1 The Edge and in the middle of a 20+ date spring tour, Paint is lighting up audiences and their ears with their user-friendly rock ‘n’ roll.
