Red Bull Music Academy and Exclaim! present the Running High tour this April, traversing Canada from coast to coast!
A true road warrior in every sense of the word, he’s seen a thorough and exhaustive twelve month period traveling to all edges of the map to drop his signature “all things bass” sound on ever increasing crowds. Guaranteed to showcase very different facets of his style and production, from digi-dancehall bangers, hyper Soca rhythms, and techno/Caribbean hybrids, this tour will help celebrate the highly-anticipated release of his album, Running High, out March 30 on Ninja Tune.
Poirier is a DJ/producer from Montreal working under the Ninja Tune, Chocolate Industries, Rebondir, Shockout, Musique Large, Intr_version and 12k record labels. He is noted for popular remixes of tracks of rock and hip hop artists such as Gotan Project, Pole, Yoav, Bassnectar, Tommie Sunshine, Editors, Pierre Lapointe, Champion and Lady Sovereign.
He is also the founder of highly successful parties in Montreal dubbed Bounce Le Gros (2005-2007) and more recently Karnival, where electro, dancehall, soca, dub and world wide street music collide.
Warming the stage for Poirier will be local dancehall duo Bonjay and electro indie rockers Lioness.
