Performer Bio’s

Coko Galore
Eclectic is the best word to describe Coko Galore. Drawing from influences of 80s rock, pop and hip-hop, Coko Galore brings a new flavour to the music scene. Growing up in the diversity of Toronto and being of mixed heritage, Miss Galore is one of a kind, with a unique sense of style and way of life. Coko Galore is embarking on the smart-pop and electro-philosophy movement, in which she infuses great music and intellect. Coko Galore’s debut album “I Am the Show” will be released in 2010!

Adolf Glitter
Adolf Glitter is a dirty electro band, formed approximately 2 years ago by several close friends who were tired of talking about ideas for musical performances. Recently finishing their first album, titled “9 to 5 Life, as well as several music videos (including Queen Street Gringo) , Adolf Glitter is moving forward towards its ultimate goal of touring the world, spreading Parkdale, Old Milwaukee and Fireball everywhere they go.

Pinup Saints
Pinup Saints are an electropop duo made up of singer Wynn Holmes and songwriter/producer Raul Campued. When performing live the band is notorious for their high energy performances and visually intriguing sets in which they are accompanied by guitarist Pierre Luc Rioux, drummer Marc-Andre Gilbert. Coming together in 2009, the duet has just completed a Canadian tour as well as spot dates in New York City and was recently recognized at Canadian Music Week. “The provocative and indescribable essence that is Pinup Saints” – Fazer Magazine.

We are a team of misfits, long-term friends, ex-lovers and future ones that combined our passion for sex, music and performance to give birth to Pinup Saints. We have created an undeniable oddity of the music world without the use of conventional routes, standards or barriers. Pinup Saints is result of pairing a Montreal born songwriter slash producer with a New York choreographer and musician. Coming together as performance artists, Pinup Saints duo, Raul and Wynn are blazing full steam ahead. They launched their debut album on itunes “Golden” independently, under Manina Productions, April 2009. Pinup Saints have long been pushing their personal boundaries to grow as artists while taking the Canadian music scene to new heights. “Their music has been compared to Scissor Sisters meets Franz Ferdinand: Uninhibited lyrics and interesting harmonies meets great rock beats with a dose of electronica. The result is a great album that makes you want to get up and dance.”

Call Out

Are you a band, performer, artist or other worldly being who might be interested in being part of this night?

This new live music night is somewhat geared toward industry types – artists, actors, musicians, writers, etc. It’s the last Thursday of every month, and we’re looking for two acts per night, to be done by 1230, with DJ afterward. We’re open to any upbeat off-the-wall type of performances, projections and other antics. We’re also seeking independent music videos of any kind to showcase during the evening.

This night goes with the flow, so hit us up if you have ideas on how to create your own space within. Email – info@themarsbar.com
