NO SHAME: Rich Aucoin + Bent By Elephants + Lisa Bozikovic

No Shame is tickled pink to present

Lisa Bozikovik
Bent By Elephants (CD Release!)
Rich Aucoin

Tuesday April 20th
Sneaky Dees
9pm – 5$

and yes, this is my birthday. Let’s have a Tuesday night party!

Lisa Bozikovik (Toronto, ON)
“The beautiful and serene album called Lost August sounds like November, in the best connotation of that grey-sky month. “ In Toronto, that sound can easily be paralleled in April… dreary, organ-drenched and water-logged and romantic, and full of the promise of rebirth that lies just around the corner. Lisa’s hymnal music is music for all seasons.
Sounds Like: Timelessly Lush Lady Pop
For Fans Of: Kimya Dawson, Veda Hille, Who knows Lisa’s in a league of her own

Bent By Elephants (Montreal, QC)
Ungh. So so so excited to get the gorgeous orch-pop collective Bent By Elephants down to celebrate the release of their album. I have nothing more to say – just listen to the tracks online and be convinced.
Sounds Like: Horns, Strings, Sweeping and Exhilarating folk
For Fans Of: Broken Social Scene fronted by Joni Mitchell, Hannah Georgas, Jenn Grant

Rich Aucoin (Halifax, NS)
HOLY CONCEPT ALBUM! Rich’s latest opus – Public Publication EP – has been recorded over the past year with many microphones and with over 500 musicians from Victoria, BC to Saint John’s, NFLD and in and out of studios with great producers Andrew Watt (Common Ground), Howard Bilerman (Hotel2Tango), Jace Lasek (BreakGlass), Paul Aucoin (HallaMusic) and has been helmed with musical partner Joel Waddell for its construction. It syncs to a new film comprised out of the cutting together of over 50 films in the public domain. Check out the trailer… that’s right: The Trailer.
Sounds Like: Pure Joy
For Fans Of: Beach Boys, Arcade Fire, Phil Spector, Flaming Lips
