Tags (Keywords) and how to use them best
A ‘tag’ is a descriptive keyword. Adding tags to things is a fast and easy way to describe things. When you add tags to the places and events that you know, it makes it super easy to find what you’re looking for the next time you visit WeGoWeGo. Tagging also helps other people find things they like, and it helps WeGoWeGo find places and events for you that you’ll enjoy. So start tagging and make the world a better place already!
You can use tags that others have already used to describe a place, you can pick from a list of popular tags, or you can type your own.
Here are some things to keep in mind:
WeGoWeGo is a Common Language
Use tags that other people will understand. Remember, we’re all in this together. Ask yourself,“will this help us find what we’re looking for?”
Think Big with Little Tags
Use broad categories and keywords that help to sort and find. Tags that only apply to one thing aren’t very useful. Remember we’re trying to make life easier. Think of tagging as a way of grouping and sorting things.
Strength in Numbers
Many simple tags are better than a few complicated ones. It’s the combination of tags that best describes a place.
Have Cake and Eat it Too
Tags are not either/or divisions. If a place is a loungy restaurant with a killer dancefloor, then give it all three tags: ‘lounge’, ‘club’, ‘restaurant’. Who says you have to pick just one?
Be Cool
We’re here for a good time. In WeGoWeGo as in life, a positive attitude can go a long way. So go ahead, make my day.
